I know the world is unfair – it’ll crush my dreams, but I just don’t care I know you treat me so mean – I’m just another meal of soylent green I know the world is unkind – it’ll steal your soul and rob you blind I know you think I’m insane – c’mon baby let’s go singing in the acid rain You say you don’t really care – that computers have become self-aware You say you hate rock ‘n’ roll – but you know-modern music ain’t got no soul You say the world is to blame – I suppose you think-that this is just a game You try to act really cool – but it’s clear to me that you’re just a fool Breathe despite the palpitation, you will need your concentration Coming to the destination, time for your re-education Living in a fabrication, nothing left but self-immolation I could make one observation, but it’s all mental masturbation We’re scared to step out of line – serpentine, number nine, running out of time We live our lives in a hole – searching for somebody with a bit of soul Don’t know what it all really means – since it don’t add up to a hill of beans We try to do what we can – not sure why, ‘cuz no one really gives a damn Living in the radiation, of our mental retardation Blood pumped full of medication, prep us for our termination Hear the demon invocation, of our social constipation Just a useless condemnation, we will have our vindication Drowning in your-cup of sorrow, face a bloodshot-hell tomorrow End your earthly-days on skid row, feels just like some-stupid game show Comes the time-you have to let go, step onto the-astral plateau Ask yourself “where-does the time go?”, cosmic tantric-memory flow

Even when I’m right I’m wrong (Words & Music: Peter Hoflich) Everywhere I turn there’s people trying to tell me my mission in life is to fail Can’t see the value of all my contributions, the taste in their mouth has gone stale Wondering how I’m ever gonna face tomorrow, in this hell of lies A vision of the future is coming over me, and it don’t look very nice Even when I’m right I’m wrong Why can’t we all just get along Even when I'm wrong I love my pretty baby Even when I’m right I’m wrong Walking down the street there’s people looking at me, they don’t wish me well Some guy cuts me off and he thinks that it’s all my fault, he tells me to go to hell Gonna dream about a brilliant new tomorrow, a place I’ll never find Hell is other people I guess I’ll have to face it – man, I gotta unwind!! Even when I’m right I’m wrong Why can’t we all just get along Even when I'm wrong I love my pretty baby Even when I’m right I’m wrong Play the game of life we’re all in this together, we take our fair share of abuse But ask a simple question you can’t get a straight answer, die die cannot lose Checking out the headlines it’s not a pretty picture, mass hysteria Looking into the mirror a stranger looks back at ya, schizophrenia Even when I’m right I’m wrong Why can’t we all just get along Even when I'm wrong I love my pretty baby Even when I’m right I’m wrong I'm talking to my baby but she’s not listening to me – basic disconnect I can’t read her mind but I know what she’s feeling – a total lack of respect Before I was Han Solo, but now I am Darth Vader – see what you wanna see Forget about the good times, just focus on disaster – believe what you wanna believe Even when I’m right I’m wrong That’s why I’m singing this song Even when I'm wrong I love my pretty baby Even when I’m right I’m wrong

Well I’m looking like I’m feeling good, I’m feeling like I’m looking good But I think I’ll be misunderstood, right here in this neighborhood The coffee’s white the coffee’s black, it looks like we’re under attack You never know how to step back, when you’re dealing with a maniac Kick out the spam, green eggs & lamb Kick out the lamb, green eggs & jam Kick out the jams, green eggs & ham Kick out the ham, green eggs & spam Make it a double, double-double (x4) …MAKE IT A! I’m having a friend… for dinner, he really is a connoisseur When the two’ of us get… to’gether, we never discuss the weather They tried me once, the can’t try me again, I know you cannot comprehend It was after-a-night at the drive-in when, I slept with your sister and her friend Don’t go straight, make a detour - Don’t go straight, make a detour Don’t go straight, make a detour - Don’t go straight, make a detour Make it a double, double-double (x4) …MAKE IT A! I saw her on the road today, I saw her on the interstate I saw her then on Channel Eight, I had to do another take I’ll beat them if they don’t beat on me first, the first time really is the worst Man, I’ve got a raging thirst, I think my heart is gonna burst Kick out the spam, green eggs & lamb Kick out the lamb, green eggs & jam Kick out the jams, green eggs & ham Kick out the ham, green eggs & spam Make it a double, double-double (x4) …MAKE IT A! We’re the alliteration nation, rhyming without reservation Success is a form of procrastination, out-stel-che-drach ophet station We’re the alliteration nation, rhyming without reservation Failure’s a form of procrastination, out-stel-che-drach ophet station Don’t go straight, make a detour - Don’t go straight, make a detour Don’t go straight, make a detour - Don’t go straight, make a detour Make it a double, double-double

I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues My spine’s not very fine—it’ll heal, but that takes time I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues They’re putting my spine on ice I say they’re putting my spine on ice It sure don’t feel very nice to have your spine all packed in ice I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues They’re coming to lock me up They’re coming to lock me up I got evil on my brain, it’s driving me insane Spinal reconstruction blues They’ve trapped me in this cage They’ve trapped me in this cage It’s blinding me with rage, I can’t take this at my age I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues I’m fixing for to die I said I’m fixing for to die This life has passed me by, nothing left except to die I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues They’re coming to bury me I say they’re coming to bury me All I want is to be free, escape this misery I’ve got the spinal reconstruction blues

I was born in the Sixties, I’ve got rock ‘n’ roll in my bones My favourite singer is Bob Dylan, and I love the Rolling Stones We had the greatest albums from the coolest bands But the world was going crazy, things got out of hand MC5 kicked out the jams, the Stooges said it’s okay Johnny Cash played San Quentin, little Pete had his birthday Back in the Spring of ‘69 I was born in the Sixties, I’ve got rock ‘n’ roll in my soul Sixty-nine was a year for us to reckon and behold The first two from Led Zeppelin, two more by Pink Floyd Creedence put out three man, Brian Jones up and died The Beatles played a rooftop, then gave peace a chance A ballad for John & Yoko, Butch Cassidy & Sundance, Back in the Spring of ‘69 I was born in the Sixties, rock ‘n’ roll was like pure gold I was too late for the Fifties (that’s the Police – or so I’m told) The Beatles crossed Abbey Road, in a Yellow Submarine We heard from Elvis in Memphis, The Rolling Stones Let It Bleed Nixon in the White House, Manson on the road Morrison in the jailhouse, Woodstock overload Back in the Spring of ‘69 I was born in the Sixties, I’ve got rock ‘n’ roll on my brain I take a journey through the past and feel it pumping in my veins The Gap, Walmart, Wendy’s, the Internet cocoon China fought the Russians, Armstrong walked the moon The birth of Monty Python, the Brady Bunch, Scooby Doo The death of Ho Chi Minh, and Eisenhauer too Back in the Spring of ‘69 Back in the Spring of ‘69 Back in the Spring of ‘69

There's no confession without falsehood We are victims of conceit and rumor Flowers of vanity and full of pretention We've been lashed by the tendrils of madness Will we walk the line like Johnny Cash did? Or will we simply wait in line? Creatures of ego unaware of our blindness We’ve been fooled into living life backwards We blaze contentious throughout the mornings Begging the future to protect our kingdoms Dodging the arrows that burst our delusions We live on planets of hallucination Will we walk the line like Johnny Cash did? Or will we simply wait in line? We assume that we've mastered reality And we think that's air we are breathing Drenched in the sweat of our mutual boredom We have licensed the death of our spirits The wind of inanity blows through the ghost towns Of our passions and keenest desires Will we walk the line like Johnny Cash did? Or will we simply wait in line? Facing down fantasy in the boardroom We emphasize our mutual envy Our children will overtake us They own the future we strive to take for ourselves The finishing line is a moving target Forever focusing us on our failures Will we walk the line like Johnny Cash did? Or will we simply wait in line? Life is a journey without an object Without our courage we really have nothing Without our courage we really have nothing Without our courage we really are

about

This is my first solo album, which I put together after having been in two bands in Singapore - Supertzar and MegalomaniA, both of which played a lot of Black Sabbath covers, and also some Sabbath-y originals. Some of the songs date back from the MegalomaniA days, and one song was also recorded by MegalomaniA ("Spinal Reconstruction Blues"), but in more of a rock vein.

Please support my music - I think you'll like it!!

Loong was an amazing producer who patiently listened to my ideas, and added to the production in so many ways. Mike Melis gave tremendous support in the early days of this project, and his stamp is all over this, in particular in the second and third tracks.
